The Member Development Consultant is an integrated role in Member Services between the Branch and Business Development.

This position in the branch performs all the functions of operations and sales, while additionally works to develop and enhance relationships with the sponsor organization when outside of the branch in a business development capacity.

This position coordinates with branch activities to help drive the business development efforts for the region through sales activities such as tabletop events, presentations, and workshop hosting throughout designated areas of the field of membership.Responsibilities : Responsible for identifying and building a network of Member contacts through qualified leads, referrals, telephone canvassing and face to face interaction with the purpose of creating financial opportunities.Proven ability to achieve and maintain individual and branch sales targets.Ensures that all Members’ needs are met and commitments to them are kept; providing “5 Star Service, to every member, every time.Builds trust, values others, communicates effectively, drives execution, fosters innovation, focuses on the Member, collaborates with others, solves problems creatively and demonstrates high integrity.Originate and fund consumer loans.Supports the credit union’s objective and promotions by encouraging the use of multiple products and services to meet the Member’s financial needs.Subject matter expert level of product knowledge to communicate features and benefits of all Credit Union products and services.

Educate Members on how to become financially responsible.Processes new Memberships by opening accounts and new service requests such as additional share accounts, savings services, checking, money market, certificates, IRAs, referrals, etc., meeting all quality control standards as outlines in policy ( CIP, OFAC, Chexsystems).

Ensure compliance with the 2/2/2Program.Assists the department by completing projects and reports related to the department; provides suggestions tostreamline department and credit union operations.Be knowledgeable of branch and PFCU business processes to anticipate potential issues and effectively communicate to your manager any and all problems that may arise.Assist the in maintaining and expanding the Credit Unions charter by creating relationships throughout the sponsor company and other Select Groups deemed legitimate.Business Development activity reporting including data entry, report management and member follow-up.Execution of business development tables.Drive sponsor relations programs and sales utilizing a proven knowledge of Partners Federal Credit Unions products and services combined with a detailed understanding of the competitive banking market, geography, and demography.Manage key contacts to guide them in becoming advocates of the Credit Union.Performs other related duties as assigned or requestedBasic Qualifications : 3 to 5 years of experience in business development, marketing, and/or member/guest servicesKnowledge and understanding of Credit Union products and servicesAbility to make sales presentationsDemonstrated experience ins a proactive face-to-face sales environmentExcellent member service and conflict resolution skillsStrong time-management skills & ability to multi-taskAbility to work independently as well as in a team environmentAbility to be flexible with work schedule including events and weekendsAbility to stay and stand at a table/event for extended periods of timeProven ability to develop effective relationships and partnershipsDemonstrated follow-through skillsStrong verbal, interpersonal and listening skillsAttention to detailCash Handling ExperiencePreferred Qualifications: Credit Union experience preferredNMLS CertificationCA NotaryBilingual Required Education : High School Diploma or GEDPreferred Education : Bachelor’s Degree
