C100 is looking for an energetic, detail-oriented, entrepreneur-loving Marketer to join the C100 team to lead our next chapter of community growth. C100 is a privately funded, nonprofit membership association that aspires to be the pre-eminent global community of Canadians in tech.

C100 is a privately-funded, not-for-profit member association, headquartered in San Francisco, California, with members across the major technology hubs of the US, Canada, and beyond.Each year we host Canada and Silicon Valley’s most interesting entrepreneurs, investors and executives at events in the San Francisco/Silicon Valley area.

Help us build the next generation of great Canadian technology companies.Job Reporting to the Executive Director, the Marketing & Communications Associate Manager will have responsibility for all marketing and brand-related activities.

Developing, managing and designing layouts of communications such as presentations, newsletters, event support materials, research papers, and brochures.

A key objective of the role is to drive membership engagement and retention and maintain brand consistency.

The Marketing & Communications Associate Manager is a key role within the C100 operation and includes working collaboratively with other C100 staff, volunteers, and special event committees to achieve project objectives.

The Marketing role is a key hire for C100 and will be integral to co-developing and executing a marketing strategy in line with C100’s membership objectives and other key metrics.:Performance:Develop a website traffic plan and create goals and benchmarks Generate monthly reports on the performance of channels and marketing campaignsOptimize website and social media channels Analyze key metrics (traffic, conversion, retention, etc.)Manage and improve member recruitment campaigns, measuring resultsOperations:Manage all aspects of marketing operationsOversee the marketing budget, and keep C100 on planCreative and Brand management:Maintain brand management and corporate identityDesign and create C100 collateral and creative assets, where needed, and work with designer contractors where requestedManaging digital agency relationships, day-to-day production, as well as campaign budgets and schedules.Reporting: Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing communications.Teamwork: Communicate internally to ensure that all relevant team members functions are kept informed of marketing objectives and activitiesAssist in other areas of C100 activities when needed of the role:Skills:Solid understanding of web metrics, digital analytics, with the ability to generate, analyze and interpret dataExceptional verbal and written communication skills. Strong creative outlook and basic design software skills (Indesign, Illustrator, e.g.)Excellent grasp of social media and website metrics and best practicesExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously and to work calmly under pressure of deadlines.Proficiency with Adobe MS Office, GSuite, Salesforce, social media, HTML, HTML 5Experience: 3-5 years’ experience in B2B digital marketing and advertisingExperience with email marketing (Campaign Monitor, Mailchimp), lead generation, Salesforce, Qualtrics, design toolsCulture:Previous experience in working with early-stage technology companies highly desirable.Self-starter, able to work independently, and entrepreneurial; enjoys creating and implementing new initiatives.Willing to work nights and weekends as required for key eventsA passion for technology, interest in Canada and/or expatriate communities
