Key account manager

The Key Accounts Manager will be responsible for growing ZineOne’s business in our target verticals (retail, banking, hospitality, quick-serve restaurants) and establishing ZineOne as the preferred choice in these verticals.

The KAM will establish strong executive and decision-maker relationships at target accounts in each vertical, with an ultimate goal to drive portfolio deals and establish ZineOne as the default choice at these accounts.

The KAM will work closely with the ZineOne Sales team to close on-going sales opportunities, and also identify and develop new sales opportunities from their customer executive relationships to drive these to successful wins.

Each KAM will develop the content expertise, relationships, record of successful wins, and public profile to be considered a thought leader in his/her vertical by both customers and internal ZineOne employees (executives and account/sales executives).

• Business wins in each vertical, and specifically wins that are attributable to the KAM’s efforts and/or significant contributions
• Total business volume, significant wins and market share at target key accounts in each vertical
• Repeat business at each key account and in each vertical
• Thought leadership, as exhibited by speaking engagements at conferences and industry events
• Strong executive relationships at key accounts in each vertical Key
• Experience in and ability to successfully drive and close wins at large, enterprise accounts.

Must have the ability to navigate large, complex organizations, proactively identify and resolve roadblocks, and develop effective account and vertical strategies.

• Strong influencing and persuasion skills towards potential customers, ZineOne account executives and ZineOne executives must be politely relentless.

The Key Accounts team needs to convince customers of the benefits of adopting ZineOne across their portfolios and organizations.

• Strong executive presence; ability to build relationships at different levels of customer organizations, from CxO to mid-level managers.

• Strong analytical and strategic skills – necessary to formulate and then execute the strategy for each vertical.

The KAM needs to guide the vertical owners to formulate, articulate and get executive buy-in for strategy (e.g., market segments and accounts to target in each vertical, rationale, and path to achieve the best outcomes), and then drive successful execution.

There is a strong bias towards measurable results.

Key account and BD experience, intelligence, and high motivation level and drive are table stakes.
