Job Title :Director of OperationsLocation (Job Location) : San Francisco, CAEmployment Type:Full-time; exemptSchedule (Work Hours):Monday – Friday, 10 – 6May be required to work after business hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.

(description):The Director of Operations is responsible for managing, mentoring, and developing restaurant level Shift Leads, Assistant Managers, and General Managers and be ultimately responsible for the day-to-day operations of all Omakase Restaurant Group (ORG) concepts.The Director of Operations is responsible for store level P&L, staffing, training and team development, vendor management, managing costs, maximizing sales, and guest satisfaction to meet company goals and objectives.

This individual will also be responsible for coaching and developing his/her team.Essential Functions include but may not be limited to:Liaise with the President of ORG to make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goalsReports to and communicate on a regular basis with all Shift Leads, Assistant General Managers, and General Managers, and other FOH staffEvaluate regularly the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements as neededMember/Guest relations including the planning of private parties and ala carte servicesContinuous communication with Culinary Director to assist with with menu development, inventory levels, cost, and staffingParticipate in staff educationAssist in interviewing, selecting and training of new hiresManage relationships/agreements with external partners/vendorsEvaluate overall performance by gathering, analyzing and interpreting data and metricsEnsure that the company runs with legality and conformity to established regulationsOther duties and responsibilities as necessaryBachelors in Hospitality or relevant field5+ years of restaurant leadership experience, including successfully managing P&L and driving unit profitabilityHigh-energy leader with a solid track record of leading and growing an operations organization in the restaurant industryDeep experience implementing standardized policies and operating procedures across multiple restaurant concepts, and hiring and mentoring high-caliber talent to support business growthStrong entrepreneurial business acumen and analytical skillsMust demonstrate high-caliber negotiation and analytical abilities, financial proficiency, attention to detail, organizational and project management skillsHighly organized, self-motivated, and proactiveIdentifies risks and solves problems before they emergeAble to handle multiple tasks with ease and prioritize workload in a deadline-driven, demanding environmentAble to interact effectively and collaboratively with all individuals and stakeholders in the organization from the leadership team to restaurant-level employees, suppliers, customers, etc.Commitment and passion for developing and mentoring team members across various levelsHighly proficient in industry-standard computer/software systems including Microsoft Office, POS, inventory and cost control applicationsThorough knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices and Health Department complianceSalary and Benefits:Omakase Restaurant Group offers a competitive compensation plan.Omakase Restaurant Group also offers a comprehensive benefits plan that includes medical, dental, vision, vacation/sick pay, and 401k.We also provide company perks that include commuter benefits, company car, meal credit/discounts, phone stipend, and a bonus program.How to apply:Please submit a thoughtful cover letter explaining your interest in Omakase Restaurant Group, where/how you found out about this career opportunity, and your salary requirement.
