The Commercial, Civil, and Strategic Space Department is seeking a System Integration Lead to support a prime-level government satellite program. The System Integration Lead is responsible for generating an integration plan encompassing all aspects of the prime-level program, including ground, space, and launch segments. Careful attention to internal and external interface requirements will be necessary to ensure successful integration of the overall system.

The System Integration Lead will work closely with the SEIT integrated product team (IPT), System Test IPT, Verification IPT, and other stakeholders to develop a comprehensive integration plan. The integration plan will account for schedule, cost, and availability of resources such as engineers and test equipment. Strong organization and communication skills are critical, as the role will require frequent interaction with internal stakeholders as well as government customers and suppliers.

Required Skills:
10+ years prior relevant experience
Experience working space systems engineering
Experience with EO/IR payload integration and/or space vehicle integration
Experience managing and conforming to interface requirements
Experience with requirements validation and verification
Experience working with multi-disciplined teams
Comfortable working in a fast paced and dynamic multi-disciplinary environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus
Ability to build strong relationships with program internal and external customers
Capable of effectively working in a team environment, often under tight deadlines
Demonstrated desire to successfully pursue new challenges, improve and broaden technical skills, seek greater responsibilities, and increase individual value to the organization
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position requires the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance within one year of hire

Desired Skills:
Experience identifying needed peripheral hardware such as cabling and test equipment

Experience with VIS-IR Detector Imaging
Prior Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) or line engineering management experience
Knowledge of US Export/Import law in regards to space technologies
Experience working with operations staff, sub-contractors, team members and customers
Experience with SEIT tools such as STK, MATLAB, C++, and Python
Familiarity with Model Based System Engineering tools (such as IBM Rational, Magic Draw, or Vitec CORE) for developing architectures and functional analysis
Experience working with government customers
Knowledge of US Export/Import law in regards to space technologies

Required Education:
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Sciences, Math, or related STEM discipline

Desired Education:
Masters degree in Engineering, Sciences, Math, or related STEM discipline

** U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position requires the ability to obtain DoD Secret U.S. Security Clearance within one year of start date**
