The Systems Engineering Center (SEC) is seeking strong, technically sound engineers committed and passionate about creating innovative, cost-effective solutions for complex remote sensing applications.

In this role you will be the Concept of Operations (CONOPs) Responsible Systems Engineer (RSE) of a payload.

The successful candidate will be a member of the Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Communications Department.

In this position you will take ownership the Concept of Operations document, User’s Guide, and Command and Telemetry Database.

Responsibilities include verification and validation of the CONOPs requirements.

The CONOPs RSE will also collaborate with the team performing system level test to provide technical expertise in the payload commanding and operation per the CONOPs document and C& T Database.

The CONOPs RSE will also support Failure Review Board for quick resolution of anomalies found during testing.

This position requires proactive interaction and collaboration with external customers and consultant in addition to various engineering functions and disciplines on the internal team.

Required Skills: Minimum 10 years of engineering experience Experience with the development and maintenance of concept of operations (CONOPs) documents Experience with the development and maintenance of a command and telemetry database (C& T DB) Strong experience in functional and performance test execution, or, collaboration / support of test execution from the CONOPs and C& T DB perspective Experience with requirements verification, validation and sell-off including verification report generation and review Experience with supporting formal reviews such as Test Readiness Review (TRR), Engineering Review Board (ERB), Failure Review Board (FRB), or Consent to Ship Review (CTSR) Experience working with external customers and consultants Demonstrated problem solving, organization, coordination, and planning skills Team oriented individual with strong interpersonal communication and technical writing skills to enable effective personal interaction and collaboration with a multi-discipline team Active and Current TS/SCI or completed SSBI within last 24 months required U.S.
