Sunol Hills, LLC is looking for motivated, hardworking team players to join our team. We are a growing company providing residential mental health treatment services to clients in the East Bay Area. We are excited to be opening a beautiful new facility located in Sunol, CA, and are looking to build a solid team of professionals to serve our clients.

We are currently hiring LVN or LPT candidates.  Both full- and part-time positions are available.  We are looking to fill PM and midday swing shifts on both weekdays and weekends, and AM shifts on weekends.  We also offer a variety of employee benefits, including paid holidays, paid time off, 401k offerings, and more.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  Under the supervision of the Program Administrator, LVNs/LPTs participate in implementation and promotion of a six-bed residential treatment facility for clients with eating disorders. The primary responsibility of LVN/LPT is to provide direct nursing care to clients, as well as interacting with clients in the milieu as part of the treatment team.  Ridgeview provides a positive environment wherein consumers can build on their strengths utilizing an eating disorder family based therapy.  The LVN/LPT supports the program’s daily schedule and rules by (1) maintaintaining firm boundaries with clients, (2) being a support for clients in crisis, and (3) being a support to the treatment team, which includes clinicians, doctors, Dietician, administrators, and Mental Health Rehabilitation Workers (MHRWs).

REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Education:  Possess a valid License in good standing to practice as an LVN or LPT, issued by the State of California.

Experience:  Two years of nursing experience; experience specifically with eating disorder clients preferred, and/or two years’ experience with adolescents (ages 12-17 years).

  • HIPAA Compliance: Must be able to maintain the privacy and security (including data integrity) of client PHI through the consistent application of reasonable safeguards and company policies and procedures.
  • Flexibility: Skill and ability to adapt to changes in programmatic program policies and procedures. Must be able to work overtime as dictated by the needs of the program. 
  • Communication: Must be able to speak, read, and write in English at the level necessary to perform all job duties safely and competently. Must be able to communicate verbally by phone in a concise and clear manner.
  • Good Judgement: Must be able to consistently apply good judgement, using available resources, company policies in the context of each individual situation. 
  • Teamwork: Must be supportive and helpful with team members; must assist co-workers by upholding and reinforcing company policies and requirements conveyed to clients.
  • Mental Abilities:  Must be able to think clearly and manage multiple changing priorities. Must remain pleasant and positive while interacting with clients. Must be able to think critically and manage a difficult population.
  • Physical Environment and Tools:  This role is performed in a 24-hour rehabilitation/clinical environment. It requires the use of standard office equipment, such as phones, fax machines, computers and filing cabinets. The job is sometimes performed outdoors, e.g, taking clients on slow, short walks, weather permitting. Must be able to drive safely in heavy traffic and inclement weather.
  • License Required: Must have a valid California Driver’s License in good standing with proof of auto insurance.

Employment is contingent upon proof of eligibility to work: 21 years of age, verification of degree/credentials, satisfactory health exam and tuberculosis testing, annual flu vaccination, background clearance, submit proof of valid California Driver’s License, good driving record (must meet insurability requirements of Sunol Hills, LLC, carrier), submit proof of auto insurance for current period of coverage (employees who drive to and from work on agency business or any other agency business), successful completion of CPR and First Aid training, and agree to uphold all Sunol Hills, LLC, Policies and Procedures, compliance with Workplace Injury and Illness Prevention Policies, and compliance with HIPAA Rules and Regulations, Email and Privacy, Use of Information, Equipment and Technology Code of Conduct Policy, Sex Offender Lifetime Registration – Applicant Tenant Policy on Nondisclosure.
