Assistant Professor of Psychology (Human Factors)Required Qualifications:

in Human Factors Psychology or closely related field.

–Degree at time of application or official notification of completion of the doctoral degree by August 1, 2021.

–Ability to teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses related to Human Factors.

–Evidence of effective teaching at the college level.

–Potential or ability to develop and maintain an active program of research in any area of Human Factors.

–Scholarly productivity as evidenced by peer-reviewed publications and professional presentations.

–Demonstrated commitment to working successfully with a diverse student population.
–Teach a variety of graduate level courses in support of the Masters of Science in Psychology: Human Factors Option and undergraduate level courses in support of the Psychology Bachelor’s degree.

Required mode of
instruction may include in-person, hybrid, online, and/or any combination thereof.

–Develop new courses in specialty area.

–Establish an independent research program and engage in research, scholarly and creative activities leading to publication.

–Supervise students in research activities including undergraduate projects, Masters’ theses, and human factors projects in the Center for Usability in Design and Accessibility and/or Center for Human Factors in Advanced Aeronautics Technologies at CSULB.

–Participate in significant service to the department, college, university, and community.
