description: We are searching for a full-time Head of Platform to be based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

This is an incredible opportunity for someone who loves working with entrepreneurs and early stage startups to solve mission critical initiatives, while serving as a highly visible UpWest representative to the tech community.

Your focus is to ensure UpWest does whatever we can to provide operational support across our portfolio.

This is not an investment position where you are working on new deal opportunities.

This opportunity is about understanding the different challenges our portfolio companies face and using our network to solve problems.

You will also be responsible for productizing the core offering of the UpWest Platform, continually seeking feedback on best practices we can provide to our portfolio companies.

The ideal candidate can adapt and learn new things quickly, solve expected and unexpected challenges, and cares deeply about our values of supporting Israeli entrepreneurs building transformative companies in the US.Day-to-day responsibilities include:Engaging and supporting our portfolio companies, leading the infrastructure and processesBuilding and managing the UpWest network of founders, investors and advisorsCreating and curating a curriculum of lessons learned and best practices for our founders, across all aspects of building innovative companiesDeveloping the onboarding process and recurring practices for the UpWest team to frequently engage with portfolio companiesOverseeing internal operations and support staffManaging UpWest-hosted events Organizing a wide variety of events, from sector-focused dinners to broader US/Israel community eventsManaging our sponsors and industry partnersSetting up the Annual CEO Summit and Annual Investor MeetingManaging UpWest marketing and branding effortsSupporting the existing relationships and business with outside branding and media.Assisting with content creation to be shared within the UpWest communityWriting and distributing periodical newsletters and other external contentPlanning the team’s involvement at broader tech and industry events in both the US and Israel.In short, you will be leading the growth of the platform, building relationships within the community and sharing best practices to ultimately drive the success of our founders.Required skills and experience:At least 3-5 years of experience in and around startups, especially in a product, business development, or marketing role.

Previous experience in a Venture Capital firm is a plus. You love to be around people.
