This is a Full-time position in Carson, CA posted October 1, 2021.

Growing company in Carson looking to hire for their ink department. This company manufactures and prints plastic containers for the cosmetic and hygiene industry.

This is for day shift and the position works 6 days a week (because they are supporting the production team).

Duties would include the below:

  • Developing and mixing color formulas for printing plastic materials;
  • Selects dyes according to properties desired by customer specs;
  • Prepares color sequence chart to guide printer operator in setting printing machine;
  • Coordinates color shop activities with printing department production schedule;
  • Inspects printed material to ensure adherence to customer and department specifications;
  • Maintains an updated inventory of inks, color solutions and other applicable materials and requisition supplies


  • Competent written and verbal communication skills in English;
  • Ability to perform adjustments to meet customer specifications
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Detail oriented and organized;
  • Computer literate;
  • Ability to work in and promote team environment

Job Requirements:

  • Organize and build pattern library weekly
  • Maintain patterns to latest revisions
  • Set up patterns for regular and custom production
  • Provide feedback and suggestions on pattern components
  • Fit and hand finishes pattern using handtools
  • Adjust patterns and communicate changes to factory
  • Maintain files Repairs broken or damaged patterns and correct patterns to compensate for defects in castings
  • Perform various operations including but not limited to pattern making
  • Maintain records and locations of patterns on tracking system
  • Measure and modify patterns Complete jobs on schedule
  • Develop and create patterns using drawings/ideas from designers and customers
  • Dividing pattern into sections according to shape of casting
  • Develop patterns from physical seat cushions and seat structures
  • Apply protective finish or paints pattern sections to indicate method of assembly
  • Make gauges, templates, pattern boards, and core setting fixtures
  • Creating and repairing wood and aluminum patterns, changing risers and gating, and troubleshooting patterns to improve foundry quality issues
