Sr. System Administrator (DoD) (TS/SCI Required)

Description SAIC is looking for a System Administrator to support NIPR, CWAN, Secure Global Network (SGN) and other secure networks.

Candidates will interface with Active Duty, US Government, and contractor personnel to provide top-notch support with a focus on systemnetwork security in support of National Security.

System Administrator will provide breakfix and design supporting Information Technology in a fast paced, high-energy environment.

The position requires some travel, less than 10, in addition to off-hours support.

Candidates will also need to provide root cause analysis and be comfortable recommending permanent configuration changes when necessary.

Support will encompass a range of capabilities from server and workstation configuration and support, LAN setup and maintenance and Audio Visual systems with a focus on security implementation (focus on all systems not just AV).

With information technology constantly changing, specialists must stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and the potential effectiveness of these advancements in their current system.

Assist the Senior System Administrator in coordinating with the Information System Security Officer (ISSO)Information System Security Manager (ISSM) with conducting risk and vulnerability assessments, implementing Security Implementation Guides (STIGs) Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP)vulnerability scans, and other cyber security requirements directed by applicable regulations and guidance.

Specific Responsibilities Manage and maintain networks, computer systems, and peripherals throughout the system’s life-cycle Perform system administration on specialized applications and systems (e.g., anti-virus, auditremediation), to include installation, configuration, maintenance, and backuprestoration Install, configure, patchupdate, monitor and maintain Windows physical andor virtual servers, computer systems, troubleshoot problems, etc.

Ensure applicable Risk Management Framework (RMF) controls are met Support onsite user-base with technical assistance in a timely and efficient manner.

Perform computer network defense (CND) threat analysis and reporting Manage network security down to the switch-port level Prepare, manage and maintain hardwaresoftware inventories, licenses and applicable Service Level Agreements Perform dailyweekly audit taskings and routine systemdata backups Perform routine system administration duties in a Windows Active Directory environment Install and secure servers, computer systems, printers, switches and peripherals, to include tasks such as cabling, power, space planning, cooling management, etc.

Ensure storage is available, operating optimally and reporting is conducted, as required Reviews and provides inputs to the Configuration Control Board (CCB) in reference to hardware and software changes, security impacts, and the operating environment Qualifications Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree with 3-5 years of related experience in system administration support and system maintenance.

Will accept years of experience in lieu of degree Experience with computer systems configuration, hardening, monitoring and maintenance Advanced knowledge with Windows desktop and server operating systems (Win 10, server 20082016) and Microsoft Exchange operations Knowledgeable of Active Directory tasks and requirements Familiar with the Risk Management Framework (RMF), the application of DISA STIGsSCAP, vulnerability scanning tools (i.e.

ACASNESSUS), and audit reduction toolsSIEM (i.e.

SPLUNK) Information Security Able to work independently and in a high ops-tempo environment Video Tele-Conference (VTC) hardware and software systems IAT Level II
