This is the Invention Age and this is where you come in.Job OverviewQualcomm Automotive team is rapidly expanding to offer optimized AI/Compute and CV solutions for in ADAS/AD and Infotainment/Cockpit systems.

To scale and strengthen our offering in this domain, we are seeking strong experienced architects and technology leaders who enjoy defining and developing software frameworks and SDKs for leading edge products.

You will be collaborating across Systems, HW and SW teams within Qualcomm, covering multiple engineering disciplines including system level feature definition and development, hardware and full stack software architecture.

Direct customer interaction supporting feature development and productization of commercial solutions will also be required.

Successful applicant should have a diverse skill set including a strong background in system and software design, machine learning, performance analysis and optimizations.Responsibilities in this role shall include the following:Architecture, design and implementation of platform software and SDKs on Qualcomm Snapdragon Autonomous/ADAS SoCs and HW platforms.Define of functional specifications, high-level architecture and design for software frameworks/SDK, components and interaction models with well-defined APIs, resource management schemes, and profiling/debugging tools.Closely collaborate with other domain experts across SoC/Hardware, Firmware, Safety, Security and Algorithms to define the functional specifications, design modular software components and interaction models, well-defined public and private interfaces, resource management and debugging tools.Lead the system level profiling and optimization of end-to-end use-cases, identify and address bottlenecks across heterogenous computational units and realize efficient implementations.Actively engage with OS and Framework vendors, Automotive OEMs, Tier-1s and ISVs to implement solutions based on of Qualcomm Automotive platforms.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.7 years Software Engineering or related work experience.3 years experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.Preferred Qualifications12-15 years of relevant experienceHands-on experience designing and developing software for complex real-time embedded platforms, heterogenous and distributed architectures.Robust understanding of compute architectures and paradigms for CPU, GPU and DSP, various ISAs, cache/memory management, pipelining concepts etc.Working knowledge of real-time and high-level operating systems and hypervisors like QNX, GreenHills, Linux etc.

and ability to realize safe and secure solutions using OS-provided tools and constructs.Deep knowledge of system-level compute, memory and IO processing, inter-processor communication, performance characterization and optimizations.Experience designing and implementing complex multi-sensor systems using SDKs for camera/video processing, CV and AI.Strong programming experience in C/C++, as well as hands-on experience debugging complex embedded software.Experience designing complex fault-tolerant safety systems in accordance to industry standard specifications (eg.
