Lead Cloud Engineer
– Azure Torrance, CA Direct Hire Solugenix is assisting a client, a prestigious Manage Services Provider who designs, builds, and maintains efficient, effective, and secure data, voice, and video networks.

Has been in business for over 30 years and has over 375 employees.

They are in search for a Lead Cloud Engineer.

This is a direct hire opportunity based out of Torrance, CA.

Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering; Master’s degree a plus.

5 years of cloud experience with specifically 3 years of experience with Azure.

Certification as an Azure Solutions Architect, Cloud Security Certification, and/or OpenStack Administrator Certification a plus.

(Other cloud-related certification also a plus.).

Some experience with AWS Cloud EC2 and networking technologies.

Experience in cloud architecture and design.

Experience with Azure IaaS & PaaS.

PowerShell experience (DevOps experience is a plus).

Knowledge of WAN, LAN and IPVPN technologies.

Knowledge of virtual and physical appliances (Routers, Firewalls, Switches, etc.).

Proven time management skills while remaining flexible in responding to changing company and client needs.

Must obtain and maintain vendor certifications.

Knowledge of competitive projects is highly desirable (GCP and AWS).

Required knowledge and understanding of technical architecture, application systems design and integration in a large heterogeneous enterprise environment with hands on experience in REST, SOA, Java/J2EE, XML, WebSphere/WebLogic/Apache Tomcat Application Server, Rules.

Exposure to infrastructure and platform capabilities
– container, middleware, messaging, routing components.

Exposure to cloud development and migration an added plus.

Ability to contribute to, and balance delivery against, multiple projects/demands simultaneously.

Advanced troubleshooting skills.

Be able to mentor others and serve as a point of escalation during any critical support assistance incident.

Ability to document all work actions as required by clients in accordance with standard policies and procedures.

Strong communication skills in the English language, with the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical personnel in high-stress situations.

Ability to work in a self-directed manner on multiple tasks or projects, with excellent organizational and time-management skills.

High level of professionalism, particularly working with and assisting clients with technical questions and issues.

Ability to produce and maintain documentation of information security systems using a variety of tools (i.e.

Microsoft Word, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft SharePoint, etc.).

Able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal or no supervision and frequent travel.

Must meet all requirements to obtain a Federal Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC).

Preferred certification on VMware VCAP6-DCV or later.

Preferred certification on VMware VCIX6-DCV or later.

Preferred certification on AWS Certified Solutions Architect or SysOps Administrator.

Responsibilities You will implement Azure cloud solutions based on designs and architectures provided by the Solutions Engineering team.

You will build project plans, effort estimates and itemized deliverables for cloud and cloud-centric projects, working closely with the Program and Project Management teams to ensure customer satisfaction and technical success.

You will mentor other engineers, nurturing their professional development and helping to build the next generation of cloud engineers who understand the business outcomes that necessitate the technologies we implement.

Diagnosing and correcting technical problems with Azure cloud-based solutions.

Participate in an on-call schedule.

Other duties as assigned.
