Business Technology Manager (Financial Lending)
– Vice President
– Irvine, California Job Summary Reporting to the Consumer Lending Group Technology Manager or the Consumer Lending Implementation Manager.

The Business Technology Manager is responsible for working with the business and business systems analysts to ensure existing systems perform optimally to accomplish corporate goals and objectives.

In addition will play a key role in the design and roll out of new systemstools.

Leads a team of business systems analysts supporting Consumer Lending Technology responsible for improving Consumer Lending’s performance and productivity.

Leads the preparation of business plans, process design, development of business requirements, testing plans and overall implementation of new and existing technology for the Consumer Lending Business Unit.

– Management
– Day to day management of the Business Systems Analysts.

Review business requirements, testing plans, process design recommendations, communications, etc.

Develop analysts to think big picture rather than task oriented.

Train analysts to understand system development life cycle and be aware when to push back on business to achieve an end result of efficient system functionality.

Manager responsibilities include but not limited to interviewing, hiring, termination of employment, coaching, day to day oversight of employees, etc.

– System Analysis Issue Resolution
– Performs highly complex systems process analysis and design.

Understands technical problems and solutions in relation to the current, as well as the future business environment.

Engages with Technology to define requirements, coordinate testing, schedule release dates, and provide business prioritization.

– Projects
– Participates in initial discussions related to new projects.

Determines level of engagement needed by analysts, high level plan for design and implementation.

Uses the EPM Methodology to deliver projects.

15 New Technology Review
– Participates in reviews of new technology and recommends solutions and implementation approaches based on these the review.

– Process Design
– Engages with business partners to analyze, implement, and update processes by utilizing sound process improvement models and techniques.

Integrates best practices with process design to ensure continuous process improvement and drive execution.

– Issue Resolution
– Responsible for tracking and resolution of production issues.

Ensures the business needs are met in a timely manner.

Qualifications Qualifications bull Understanding of systems integration of business requests, bull Excellent oral and written communication skills, bull Excellent organization and planning skills, bull Excellent understanding of organization structure and corporate culture and priorities Flexibility work on multiple systems and projects at one time.

bull Sound operation and risk management knowledge.

bull Strong understanding of business and technology.

bull Ability to communicate effectively across levels of the organization.

Education, Licensure, Experience bull Bachelor’s degree preferred bull 5-10 years in the mortgage business and at least 5 years in management position of a similar role.
